Oakridge Hawks - Season 7 (2034) - Diamond .365 - AC West Division
Well, here we go again !!
As I mentioned coming out of Season 6, I'm going into this season with the same roster, still thinking that the team is competitive. We'll know soon enough lol.

APRIL 2034
Slight change in format to make things easier to put together, now that I will have two more teams in OOTP XX to follow. No plans to change roster for a while - I think this team is competitive, and will accumulate my achievement points until something obvious surfaces. A good month, but the 5 game loosing streak worries me. UPDATE: Changed my mind. Since I'm not going to invest real cash into this team at this point (due to OOTP XX) I'll go ahead and open packs as I get the points, in the hope of landing a lucky card.

Unlike last season (so far), the Hawks are performing at a higher level - with the same roster. If this holds, the take-away is that a lot depends on which league you are assigned to. Last season, I was up against some Diamond teams that set me in my place early. This year things seem to be a bit easier... but as we all know, things can turn on a dime! Personal Schedule; I will report tomorrow morning, but then will be gone for the weekend - hopefully back Tuesday - at which point I will bring the Hawks up to date and start reporting on my OOTP XX teams. For those who have been following the Hawks, starting next week I will be reporting on them once a week(season) while I turn my daily attention to the new teams.

(This will be my last post for this week - should be back Tuesday/Wednesday.) The Hawks are more-or-less coasting so far this season on the backs of the pitching staff. The staff is 6th in ERA and 4th in Strikeouts. Syndergaard, deGrom, and Bauer have sub-4 ERAs, and Diaz, Doolittle and McKay are around 2.00 ERA out of the bullpen. On the offensive side, the stats are solid but not stellar. What IS interesting is that every player in the starting lineup has between 21 and 40 RBIs - definitely a team effort to this point. At this point last season, the same team was 42-38 and in 2nd place - 5 games out.
