Hook vs. Pitch Count
After 200 seasons played, I still don't have starters doing what I want when it comes to having bad outings. The way I think it's supposed to work is that if you have a quick hook and they're doing poorly they'll go, but if they're doing well, they stay in. My pitch counts are 100-110. What I'd like is for starters to not give us 13 hits and 10 runs; once they get to 6 or so I want them out, no matter what. Upping the hook seems to only get them out when they get into any trouble. What's my line of play here?
