Historical players don't age?
With all due respect for this being a casual, somewhat Fantasy online game... but it's pretty... uh.. weak, to not let historical players age. I mean, we are playing more than one season... also assuming a team advances from lower leagues to more difficult leagues. So the time line does have some value. Maybe this is a conflict between creating a fun, fantasy baseball game, while also bringing in player development stuff?
I get how it's simplified, but still.... I dunno. I guess this beef is inappropriate. I mean, for another example, we're playing with duplicate players... which is pretty weird, if you care about actual players, which I guess you're not supposed to care about. The only reason I can see for doing that, is making it easier to give numerous (huge numbers of human) teams a chance to bid for quality players without burdening the developers, who have to create all these players.

This is more of a baseball card game and an e-bay auction game, not a baseball game. If anything the historical ratings don't seem to match current day players.

You can't have players age AND have the current year MLB cards change in ratings as the real season progresses. Game comes out in April, Josh Donaldson starts off hot and makes the all-star team in real MLB... but in Perfect Team he is now 47 years old and retired (playing one season per week). Doesn't make sense.

Okay, I'm trying to be really respectful here, so please don't think of me as a fuss ass. It just seems like it would be better if historical players aged, just like in historical games on OOTP. If you happen to pick up an old historical player, then he's only gonna be good for a year or two etc. But, for example, I picked up a great historical "rookie sensation" and a couple of players in their prime (age 27 & 28). So... would be better to see them age according to their IRL stats, you know, with the usual OOTP algorithm variation etc. The pictured card would be just, you know, what he was when he was "drafted." I dunno... it's kind of a mess. So anyway.... Never Mind. LoL I'll just go quietly back to playing the game like a good boy. LoL

Lets say you have a very tight budget and get to spend $10 on Steam finally after 5 months of faithfully playing PT. Now you use that $10 to buy 12000 PP and buy 12 packs with this carefully saved money. You draw a Babe Ruth Perfect and he is your favorite player of all time. WOW! Now, you get to play him 3 months and he is gone because you have been playing a season a week. He is now old. It took you 5 months to save and you got once in a lifetime lucky. Then he is suddenly gone in only 60% of the time it took you to save that $10. Nobody wants something that tragic in game to happen to you and honestly you would be shrieking so loudly the neighbors would complain. Understand why this cannot happen?.

As I understand it everything will get wiped again with OOTP 20 correct?.. So I might spend "some money" for the next three months but MORE when I will have a whole YEAR of the new Perfect Team come March.. But yeah aging does not belong in this game in anyway shape or form for the reason you stated..

No, OOTP 20 will be a brand new PT universe, and the OOTP 19 one will continue to live on for several years.

to encourage the buying of PP for this version ONLY since we are already 8 months into it, the points you bought should be transferred to OOTP20.

So every version will have a separate PT? So I buy OOTP 20, I have PT in both versions? Up to 6 teams?

Wait till OOTP25, when you have 21 teams in seven universes!
