Question about importing from 18, and player histories.
Hey folks,
I play in a long-running online league (44 seasons and counting) and we are in the process of upgrading to 19. I took a look around the forums and didn't see this particular question anywhere, so I apologize if I missed it. I'm just wondering if there's something we missed in terms of getting the player histories to port over to the new version. I'm talking about the career-long rundown that you'd see at the bottom of a guy's player page in the HTML, or in-game. Here's some pictures to illustrate what I'm talking about. OOTP18 HTML: ![]() OOTP18 in-game: ![]() OOTP19 in-game: ![]() What I'm seeing is that a lot of the history stuff now has it's own little boxes inside the player profiles in 19. So I assume that something changed with the way player histories are processed. Did we miss checking a box somewhere? Is there a way to get the general "Complete History" box to populate? Because while I like that you can look at a guy's injury history in one place and the new scouting stuff is slick, there doesn't seem to be a transaction history anywhere (to name the first thing I noticed) and now that data seems to be lost to the ether. We take our history pretty seriously in this league, hence I'm posting about it here. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

that was in '18 too, so it wouldn't be a xfer-caused problem. (unlike the type of problem not having personality ratings in previous year would cause)
so, if it's missing, that's odd if it normally would be seen after a xfered. do you "keep all" for that type of data in the settings? maybe that caused a truncation of the data? used a backup or restored backup with incomplete asthetic data like injuries and such? (backup is incremental process, if you never changed the back directory or anything odd like that, you don't have to worry.) if you think something odd happened there, re-do the xfer, maybe? could look into copy/paste of txt/htm files if they fit the same format and use, manually? you'd likely have to edit somethign (xml file?) to make that work, but maybe not. it may or may not need to know 'thngs' exist or it may just be able to run with whatever is in the directory, like clockwork without additional ID or the like required. do anything like that and make sure to use a copy to work on and save an original.
