Fielding Settings - Best Use?
Curious what the other Random Debut or historical league players are using. I don't really want to use the whole career, as I think the aging pattern of not being able to play SS or CF should show. But, the 3 yr average really isn't broad enough to allow for flexibility (moving LF to RF for example) for trades/roster moves.
Ideally, there would be a 5-7 year average option. Or is there a better way around this? |

To each their own, but the way I see it, I'm already in make-believe land when I choose to play random debut. I like using entire career for both fielding and pitcher stamina, and letting the AI decide what position the guy's gonna play his career at/who's gonna start and who's gonna relieve. I also like the DH, so that explains a little more of why I like this option, so that Edgar Martinez, David Ortiz, Frank Thomas, Paul Molitor etc can have positions to play for their whole careers so they don't get stuck rotting on a bench somewhere. In my mind, they're way to good to consign them to that fate. YMMV though, and it's your game so play it your way.

Thanks. Was wondering if you guys went with career. I'd definitely like that for some guys; but, for others, I'd really like the aging pattern to be somewhat shown.
Just wondering..using the career option, have you had a Biggio play catcher most of their career, or Raines 2B? |
