player on waivers stopping game progressing

I have a player on waivers and the game is not letting me proceed until I do something about it. I can't trade or demote him until waivers clears in 3 days but when I try to advance it says I can't because he is on waivers.

The player is in both PDA and Waivers column and I'm not sure if that is right?

decent player or want to keep? clone and delete. otherwise, just delete him.

i guess if worried, you could export stats and copy/past for that new player id the old player's history before deleting. don't think cloning copies stats and such.
