New First for me
Man on second one out. Runner is a base stealing threat. Batter is a left handed pull hitter. Defense plays HARD shift right, leaving third base unoccupied. Pitcher has a good hold rating. Decide to steal third...
1st Pitch:Ball one, doesn't steal 2nd Pitch:Ball two, doesn't steal 3rd Pitch:Ball three, doesn't steal(getting annoyed at my runner now) 4th Pitch:Strike one, doesn't steal(REALLY annoyed now) 5th Pitch:Ball four, Runner attempts to steal third(finally), catcher jumps up to throw to third as third baseman runs to cover.....THROWN AWAY in to the outfield, runner scores. |

That kind of thing happens A LOT if you play during the dead ball era.

This ALWAYS gets me but with second. Having Hamilton or Jose Peraza in back-to-back and knowing one is 80/80 and the other is 70/70, I get this a LOT. I managed 150 of 162 games in the 2018 season but Billy Hamilton only had 58 SB. Why? Because he wouldn't run on pitch one, two, or three sometimes
