Scoring bug

I keep having problems with my scoring! I twice now, have had two games back to back with the exact same score!! Everything else is fine with the game. But this is really upsetting me. Scoring should be extremely random like the real game. I paid forty dollars for this game. Can someone please tell me why this is?

Your second thread on this topic. Your question was answered by Lukas but I'll give it a one time go assuming you are not just trolling. After that I'll let it go.

The Cubs have had this happen 5 times in the last couple months and zero times before that. Yes, in the "real life" 2018 season that is now under way.

If this doesn't happen then there is a problem with OOTP. The fact that it does IS what makes OOTP realistic.

I was not trying to troll. I was simply wanting facts to show that this is natural in the game. I only had one reply. If I had had 3 or 4 replies that this is normal, with facts, then I would have let it go. You said that it happens in real life. You stated facts. This alone makes me feel better. Also, I was hoping that a developer would write something explaining why this happens. It just does not feel natural. Has it happened to you when you play the game?

Ok, not a troll, sorry if I offended you. Have you watched a lot of MLB baseball? Honest question so please don't read it as an insult as there are many OOTP players that are "new" to baseball. It just seemed to me after being a fan for 50 years that scores like you reported were not unusual at all, just random. You just got some random "same score" games back to back

I only looked at the Cubs record for 2018, as they are my team, to find verification. I would think the 5 in about 8 weeks is on the high end of the odds, but haven't confirmed it with real data. It is easy enough to go to a club's site and look over their schedule month to month to find more data.

As to my on going OOTP game I first looked at my Cubs. We led the league in run differential and had the best record (but didn't get to the World Series

) and had 2 instances of back to back same score games.

The Mets, in my game, had a .500 record and were only +2 in runs over the whole season. They carded 4 instances of back to back same score games.

I also checked out Tampa Bay as a middling team in the AL. They had 2 instances of the b to b same score games. One of those was losing both games of a double header 4-2, talk about random

What are the odds? Point being this could certainly happen in baseball, both real life and OOTP.

Giants-Dodgers played back to back 1-0 games earlier this year where the only run scored was on a Panik HR both games. Weird things happen all the time.

It does happen. Looking at a 1902 league had it happen did not take too long to find at least one instance.

Check out the 16th and 17th

Thank you everyone for your comments! You all made me feel a lot better. Now I have no problems with the game. Side note - I love how in a trade you can ask the other team to retain money. I created an expansion team and they hardly have any money but were able to get a veteran because they did not have to pay for the entire contract. How many other baseball games have that option?
