Quickstarts, Mac, and Steam
Can anyone help with how to use a downloaded custom quickstart with Steam on a Mac?
I 100% HATE Apple products, but my work software only runs on a Mac, so that's what I have to work with. It appears you have to be a damn brain surgeon to crack Apple's file structure to be able to put a downloaded quickstart file into the QS folder and access it through the game. I can't even find the Steam folder, much less the OOTP one. Even the data path dictated in OOTP is inaccessible. I have looked online, in the forums, everywhere I can think, and I am still missing something. Can someone please help. I just contributed my yearly Heinsohn living wage donation, and I'd REALLY like to actually use the software. TIA for any help, Frustrated in Austin

I gave up and imported my game on my Windows box.
My laptop is great for work, but Apple can go jump in a lake for "knowing what's best" for me.

From the home screen, go to Go > [hold option] Library > AppSupport > OOTP Developments > OOTP 19 > quickstart_games
Just remember to hold the alt/option button when looking at the "Go" dropdown, as you wont see "Library" if youre not holding it down. |
