Question about 2-way players & the AI

So if the AI uses a 2-way player to pinch hit for the pitcher, does it even consider the possibility to leave him in as the pitcher or does it just automatically replace him because it only sees him as a pinch hitter? I ask this because I just saw this situation play out. Top of the 6th and down 4-0, the AI pinch hits for the starting pitcher with a 2-way player who is listed in my bullpen as a middle reliever and even has the "use more often" designation. Then replaces him in the bottom of the inning with a different pitcher. Did the AI even consider keeping him in or was this just an automatic substitution based upon the fact that the pitcher was pinch hit for? I am guessing that it is the latter.

Obviously this isn't something the programmers have ever had to worry about in previous versions of OOTP but now with the inclusion of these kinds of players, it is likely that the way the AI decides who to use as a pitcher after using a pinch hitter needs to be tweaked to allow it to consider leaving in the pinch hitter as the pitcher if he is actually a pitcher too.
