help with starting a new game using my old league
I want to start a new game in a different starting year that my league has now.I'd like to use the same league set up ,Teams and players on these teams in a different year than it is right now can this be done. I can just delete their stats when the game is set up.
Can you import your league into a new created game Any Help would be great Last edited by doors11; 09-28-2018 at 07:41 PM. |

I did this by saving my current game as a template. You might want to back your current game up at this time too. From there I created a fictional game using the template I saved from my current game. You can put the year you want to start in the setup options too.
Once the league is created you'll want to delete the entire history of the league and release and delete all the players, personnel etc. If you don't you'll have guys with crazy ages (I started a league in 1851 based on a template from 2002 and it brought my guys over from the 2002 game). You'll have to generate players for an inaugural draft or fill all the teams up with fictional players. One thing I would suggest is maybe putting the start year a few years before when you truly want to start. You may want to sim a season at a time for a few seasons and make sure everything looks okay before you fully commit. I found a few things I messed up on in my first couple years simming.
