Help! How do I remove historical players from fictional league?
Just finally started getting myself engrossed in a fictional league and reached the anticipated day of the early May draft pool announcement for the new player draft. And it was historical players (well, upon further review, not all historical rookies, but most of the best players available (Harold Baines, Vic Wertz, Jose Abreu etc.)) Not my intention. (Found somehow in setting up the league I had checked on "automatically import real historical rookies" and "use random rookies from all eras." I already have an historical random debut project I enjoy but I really only want fictional players in this league.
I've already become attached to my team and this league. Is there any way for me to purge the league of these historical interlopers and replace them in this draft pool class with fictional players, as I intended and not have to start from scratch? Thanks so much for any guidance you can give me. Last edited by BirdWatcher; 04-07-2018 at 11:57 PM. Reason: clarification added |

1) Change settings for player import (Uncheck Automatically import historical rookies and use random rookies from all eras)
2) Delete the entire draft pool (You can select entire draft pool with the bullet next to POS top left of the list then right click on any player and "delete players") * make sure Position is listed as "All players" 3) Edit events and reschedule the Draft pool reveal (Published) to tomorrow (League menu/ Reports & Info/ League events list) 4) Advance files 1 day and it will create a new pool without historical players Any questions feel free to ask Hope this helps

Ah, excellent. I had noticed the ability to select all the players but hadn't yet clued into the ability to delete them in this way. This sounds much easier and more doable that I imagined.
Thank you so much for your assistance! |
