Uzr +49.6 !!!!!!!

In my league I GM Pirates. I have a fictional ultimate superstar catcher who just has 179 OPS+ and 8.6 WAR season. But he is not the top 1 player in my league.

Not Harper, not Trout, not Lindor.
Here he is.

9.5 WAR! He is a real player.
I was scared cause his bating stats are not so good.
So I check his fielding stats.

OM!!!!!
+49.6 ZR!!!
So that COVER his bating ratings.

I think we don't see that very often, right?

That's pretty high. +20 at CF is usually the starting point of the gold glove conversation.

edit: for context ZR is in units of runs, and approximately 10 runs is 1 win, so a ZR~50 is 5 WAR from defense alone.

Interesting to see. UZR just got updated recently in real life, and it sounds like it has tempered some of these extreme UZR's (on both ends of the range).
