The Canadian Baseball League
January 1st, 2018

From the office of the commissioner of the Canadian Baseball League,

On May 1st, the inaugural season of the Canadian Baseball league will begin! Last night we had our inaugural draft as the eight teams represented in the CBL selected their very first teams who will compete on the field this coming spring. The season will last just over two months spanning 42 games. Teams are allowed to keep 26 players on their roster and have a backup 40-man roster which they will be allowed to use when the first of June roles around. The first of June also marks the trade deadline for the league. All teams will be allowed a Designated Hitter as well. The 8 teams competing the first season of the CBL include:

Eastern Division
Toronto Blues
Ottawa Lynx
Hamilton Hard Hats
Montreal Voyageurs

Western Division
Calgary Cowboys

Edmonton Dreamers

Winnipeg Robins
Vancouver Reign

Seems like a good start!

One thing you might want to check, there are a ridiculous amount of players with the same first name. Cletus, Murdoch, and Winton to name a few. Maybe you're doing that on purpose, but figured it might be an oversight.
