How to mark players as unavailable for x years (draft during wartime)

If I want to simulate during wartime is there a way to mark him as unavailable to play during a certain period in the editor?

Also, besides retiring someone is there a way to mark them as deceased in the editor?

You could always retire and then unretire the player.

Question 2 I don't know.

Under Historical Settings, there is a box to check called "Players miss seasons according to history". Besides that, I guess you could retire/unretire players but that would take a lot of manual editing.
