Game Icon: Stitches on the Ball

I know this is going to sound like the lamest complaint\observation ever, but here we go.

I have noticed, and it bothers me irrationally, that the game icons for both the desktop OOTP and the iOS MLBM feature baseballs that have stitches pointing the wrong way. Take a look at the OOTP 18 icon for example - see how the stitches on the top are pointed in the same direction as the stitches on the bottom? It shouldn't be that way. The top stitches and bottom stitches should be pointing in opposite directions. Take a look at a real ball and see for yourself. The icon for OOTP 14 looked good in this regard but since then, not so much.

And that concludes today's broadcast of meaningless observations.

Not at all. Despite our differences here, one of the things most if not all of us share is an attention to, and appreciation for, detail. Else we would all be playing MLB The Show.

Yes, looking closely, I see what you mean. You have a good eye! They use the same one-direction stitching motif on the startup screen as well.

Good point, but I would think they are going to invoke "artistic license" for 18 at this point. Maybe they will take your suggestion into account for 19.

Are there the right number of stiches relative to the proportion of surface area that is visible?

I think not!

either my eyes are terrible (very likely) or there is a slight curve to their icon's stitching, too? at least in the 2nd dejabru posted picture... and the first one is so tiny i'm not sure. but, looks liek it's widening to me a bit (especially the lower left portion - at minimum not parallel)

Markus - I just wanted to acknowledge that I have noticed that my minor little cosmetic request has been implemented into the new OOTP 19 (which I have pre-ordered and eagerly anticipate!).

Admittedly, it's a small thing with no tangible bearing on the game but I appreciate being heard and thank you for making the effort!
