Any chance we'll see some sort of player progress tracking this year?
I got excited when I read in the blog post that the interface was getting some facelifts and new features, because I've been pining for some way to track a player's ratings and statistics with graphs.
Deja Bru posted some good pics of what it might look like: I also posted a few pics of how FM does it: ![]() I've been trying to do it on my own with Excel, but I'm flopping horribly. I'm hoping this year that there will be a way to track and visualize players' ratings and stats over multiple years. Thanks! |

Yes, I think graph usage for individual players would be valuable. Good thumbnail way to spot slumps, etc.

Ah man, be still my fluttering heart!
I was so desperate, I looked into upgrading my stupid copy of Excel because my version can't do Pivot Graphs. In other words, I was thinking about spending $150 on a piece of software that might sort of slightly help me better enjoy a $40 game (so long as I figure out how to actually use Excel). |

OpenOffice from Apache will work the same as Excel. It's free.

I've dreamed of a PowerBI dashboard with my OOTP league stats. I agree any step towards adding some visualizations and trends would be great.

Sold. Not that I wasn't already sold, but yeah, sold. I hope we can see these graphs for all attributes! So exciting! Last edited by torpidbeaver; 03-03-2018 at 03:38 PM. |

Now that the full list is out, can anyone confirm that you can track the progress or regression of any player attribute (not just overall/potential & the 3 “major” attributes)?

Well, shoot.
It’s the perfect opportunity for a drop down menu, or even better, one of those OOTP filters where you can choose a number of attributes to track and then export. Or even one of those button-based menus like FM does where you can choose dozens of attributes and turn your screen into a mess of colors and lines. It’s cool to see it going down this track but I think I’ll probably be back to looking for Excel (my nemesis) based solutions this year. |

I saw this comment, looked up Power BI, downloaded the free desktop version, exported my league files, and then made a dashboard. I'm still getting used to the software but it was actually quite easy to do. I'm planning on doing a stats-only league and this will help greatly. I spent some time with real life minor league stats and comparing them to major league success and I wonder if I can use Power BI to recreate my player strength algorithm. Thanks for the idea!

Yes, I'd like to get at least one visually appealing dashboard and then figure out how to share images on here
