expansion draft; poor decisions
I thought I posted this yesterday, but I can't find it! For years I've wished for more realistic expansion setup (protect 15, lose 1, then protect 3 more, like the last several expansion drafts have been held in real life).
What I am still noticing in this version is the AI makes some pretty bizarre decision on who to protect. I'm starting w/ protecting 15, each team loses 1 player; I regularly see: -AI does not protect their cleanup of #5 hitter -AI protects average RPs over their 3rd or 4th starter -AI projects over-priced vets who in reality they should be thrilled to have taken off their hands -AI protects multiple players at 1 position (for example protecting 2 catchers who are basically the same, when only 1 can be lost) NOTE: When I draft, I put scouting at 100% accurate, hoping it will make the AI better at protecting. It does not seem to. |

OP, I think this is one of those features that doesn't get a lot of action so it goes unimproved for a long time.

I really don't think there is much that goes into the expansion draft AI. It's one area I think the game could use some major improvement in.
