Scouting Budget - Bug??
In the scouting budget screen it says that my scouting budget has to be less than half the league baseline since we are projected to have a negative balance. Yet, I am able to set it right at the baseline of $5 million.
Am I looking at this wrong? Thoughts? Thanks! |

change screens or sim a day... then go to front office and see what it says.
if still during a time period in which you can set budgets, maybe, you'll have to wait for the day after that time period to see it slashed down automatically. i'm fairly certain you can't get around it just with comissioner mode on. unless you manipulate finance-related stuff before budgets are finalised, having it on won't allow you to avoid the 1/2 budget repercussion by itself. test it jan 1 sometime when you have your offseason stuff done early. if $1 dollar doesn't make things incredibly inaccurate on the jan 1 scouting report, you know for certain it's still using the last year's budget. it's important to know if the game uses last year's value during this time period... it would make sense that it does, otherwise you could manipulate budgets.. e.g. you don't need amatuer or int'l spending when signing MLB FA. or maybe that is the way it's supposed to work... whichever it is, that will tell you how to make best of the situation. i doubt it though. you could be very manipulative during that offseason, otherwise. you'd only need a scouting budget the the day before a new scouting report and zero it out otherwise. i doubt that's an intention, but won't say 'never' most likely you have until budgets are set in stone to get within the financial realities of your budget.
