Historical budgets not changing year-over-year

Didn't want to post this in the bug forum because I'm guessing its an in-game option I'm missing - but I can't figure it out for the life of me.

I run a historical league, and for the first five seasons, team budgets haven't changed no matter what teams do. Win/lose, make money or lose money, nothing changes for that budget number (cash fluctuates but budget that the owner sets never does).

Am I missing something? I've tried toggling the option to import historical financials (I thought maybe that was 'overriding' any budget increase/decrease) but that didn't do it.

It's possible it's not advancing year over year. Try going to the financials page and manually importing the financials for each season on the first day of the offseason (which would be whatever the upcoming season is: e.g. first day of 1958 offseason, import financials for 1959), and see if that works for you.

also in same area of settings, make sure "Historical Year" is set to the proper year.

it should change incrementally each year on it's own, and that should cause any possible new settings. if it's the right year and it still doesn't fix it, you'll have to import each year... most likely this won't be the case, since this kind of bug would most certainly be reported during patch process.

if it's 2017+ or maybe >2017, it will not change anything. type in 1901 and the next year it should +1 to 1902 and auto-import history-related settings for finances and such just as the button does.

i only mention because you can do 1901-2000 "as" 2017-2016, but use 1901 in the "historic year" field in settings... the value in the box controls this, not the year on calendar.
