OOTP5 Setup Problems

OOTP5 Setup Secrets
Our league is transitioning from OOTP4 to OOTP5. All owners now have bought the new game and we are about to start our season being in the rookie draft. Many owners are having much difficulty getting OOTP5 to load, setup and run. Why is there such a difference between the two games that all of a sudden owners are having problems? What is so different with OOTP5 compared to OOTP4 that it won't run properly within the same framework of the computer used for OOTP4 ? I am a Commish, and have had a multitude of problems since loading the new game. The screen freezes within the game and now freezes when running other applications such as internet, e-mail, etc. Does the new OOTP5 game do something to a persons computer that will affect all other applications and operations ? I am taking the computer in for a checkup to our IT guys and could use some technical information about the game on how this can affect the other programs on my computer and its general operation. The forum boards do not go into enough detail. My computer meets all the miniumum requirements as stated before I bought the game, but i suspect there is more to this mystery on how OOTP5 can affect our computers. Can anyone provide more technical insight ? Please I am running Windows 98, Gateway, ATI 3D Rage 128 Pro 4MB AGP ATX e4200-350. I have tried this: disable 3D, 1024 x 768 resolution, don't use full screen mode, turned off the screen saver, all other applications not running, diable sound in game setup, have Creative SB live sound card, plenty of RAM and memory free on hard drive. The drivers have been updated through Gateway update center. I am at my wits end and need a solution to this problem. Please help. Many of my owners have asked for tech support and can not get their problems solved with the game. This is a big diappointment

That's strange. I haven't had any problems at all myself. I haven't heard of any of our owners having any issues either. For me, it works just as OOTP4 did.

Could it have something to do with the lack of full screen mode now?
