Saved game on multiple CPs?

I travel often, but prefer to play on my desktop at home. Is there a way to have a game on my desktop, but access the same saved game from my laptop when I am away?

I've tried using One Drive to keep the files in sync between the two computers, but it didn't work out too well. I ended up with different file versions and conflicts between the two. I think the game updates too many different files. If it doesn't sync back up to the cloud and then back down the other PC you can end up in a bad spot.

External HDD or flash drive sound like your best bets

I use an external hard drive to back up my game. Saved me when my computer died. Downloaded OOTP18 on new computer and used the HDD to continue my league on the new computer.
