AI overriding free agents?

Hey,

I'm in the free agency part of the season and even though I have player control set for the signing of free agents / trades the AI always overrides my offers and offers whoever the heck it thinks I should be targetting

Anyone ever experience this?

I just want to be able to offer a contract and not have to worry that the AI will mess with anything.

You may not be in full control. Check your settings.

Post a screen shot of your manager settings if you can. Problems like this are usually settings problems.

My first guess is that you have ML signings under your control and MiLB signings delegated to the AI. I wonder is this crosses a few wires. I would try removing (temporarily) AI MiLB FA powers and see what happens.

Well there you are. Your assistant GM will be signing International Amateur Free Agents.

It happens for all fa, not just international. And I've had that setting off before and it still did this

I'll try it with the minor league fa off.

A couple other possibilities...

One, make sure that you don't have 'do not disturb' checked, as if you do and sim for multiple days, the ai will make offers for you.

Another, if you're in commish mode you need to not just be 'acting as' the GM, you need to officially take the job from the 'available jobs' screen. Otherwise the ai is still in ultimate control.
