Award Icons
How do I get the "real" award icons to show up in OOTP 18. I have the "better" icons in a folder called "Awards" but cannot figure how to get them to show up in my saved games. Thanks in advance for any help.

As far as I know they can't be replaced anymore in OOTP18

they can still be replaced. They were waiting for the skins files to be released which is why you couldn't at first. The instructions are a bit long for me to explain here so you'll have to do a search.

They most certainly can be replaced. Here's how (for PC)...
1. Go to C: Drive and the "Program Files (x86)" folder. 2. Click on "Out Of The Park Developments" folder. 3. Click on "OOTP Baseball 18" folder. 4. Click on "data" folder. 5. Click on "skins" folder. 6. For each of the three skins put in the award icons you want added/changed. 7. Delete the .cfg file. CRUCIAL STEP! 8. Start up game and enjoy! I think I got all the steps. Coming from my memory so who knows. |

Found a way in to replace them in add ons but not sure if they will show up in a saved game.

Yurpman, I think for 7., you mean delete the skin.bin file, AFTER you have made changes in the images folder. The next time you start the game, it rebuilds skin.bin using the customized images.

They just can't be replaced if you're on a Mac. There appears to be no interest in fixing this problem.

Starting again, did something really bad this morning and blew up the game. Only got it back by reinstalling latest build. There has got to be an easier way, or I am stupid and useless, take your pick! Thanks for all the help.
