Overall and Potential drops

This is the second time this has happened. Last season before the season started a number (quite a few) top players had overall and potential ratings with sudden unexplained decreases. A 77/79 player is now a 44/46 player. A 66/66 player is now 28/28. I have seven of these on my major league roster.

There don't appear to be any changes to players skills and abilities ratings that would account for these.

Last season the ratings changed back after a couple of sims.

For reference, this is our 51st season, starting with OOTP6 in 2006. None of the check boxes at the bottom of the General page are checked (these affect showing current > potential. I made a duplicate of the league and tried playing with those settings. When current > potential the real/normal overall ratings show correctly.

I tried recalculating and rescouting and there is no effect.

Any ideas? We're hoping that these will self correct as they did last season.
