How should I go about choosing personnel?
Coaches? Managers? GMs?
I've just been going by reputation. Is that sufficient? |

It depends on if you want to be able to control any roster moves. If you're just playing as a GM and want a realistic experience, just get someone with the best reputation. But if you're ever interested in overriding a manager's lineup decision, make sure you check the personality. Some managers are hard asses who won't let you interfere at all

I'd throw in staying away from managers that are easing going etc. They can hurt a players development IMO.
Also, prior to hiring them see how they with your guys liking them or not.

I've taken to cheating by looking at the underlying ratings and looking for guys who have player management ratings >100 as well as tactical ratings like teach hitting or teach pitching >100.
Frankly I don't know how else you would do it. I've looked at personnel who have great reputations yet their underlying numbers are not that good, and vice versa. I don't know how close to reality this is. |
