Team Chemistry

So I started up 1978 season as the Philadelphia Phillies. Mike Schmidt is my favorite all time player. His personality profile says "Tells you what he thinks whether you are interested or not. Several players are unhappy and it says "upset that outspoken players are dragging the team down". The whole team seems to be under performing. Are there any tricks to get chemistry back in line? I would hate to have to trade my favorite player just to make the rest of the team happy.

Captains and strong leaders can help off set those negative players.
