Market Sizes, Owner Spending/Patience, Fan Loyalty Rankings

In the past I have found that these numbers in the MLB QS have some questionable entries. Anyone change these in any way, or find any rankings of things like market size online?

did the yankees sign a new contract, yet? if not, they should be below dodgers, for sure.

this stuff changes year to year, Mr. G. so, it gets a bit hairy to try to use RL contracts. as of last year, yanks had the 3rd highest local tv contract.

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/estim...-30-mlb-teams/

But, any team that signed a new local contract recently vs ~10 years ago has a huge advantage... that isn't really modeled in the game as drastically as it is in RL. so, a "5" can swing a bit up and down, but not like RL.

i'd leave it default, if you started a real MLB game... if it's fictional, just use common sense. (or, go take a screenshot or notes from a real mlb league... you can see them all in Team Stats->Finances tab [sic])

you'd have to do alot of cusomization if you want it to match up more closely... the default finances work well.. becareful of that hornets nest if you aren't comfortable with it.

LAD / NYY top tier for sure. i don't think others really compare in long-run.

The Rangers are the little brothers of the Astros. No one really cares about them.

Are their minor league teams in real life that have a bigger market than an MLB team? Because city sizs is not all that makes a market because in that case San Diego will be a larger market but it's considered small

My markets should put you right around 170 million avg team income...which is right where you want to be.

All media contracts are set to expire after the 2017 season, so you'll see the changes in 2018, unless you go in and alter the values manually, which is possible, but I feel it easier to just let the current contracts flip over.

Yet the Rangers attendance is nearly a half million more last season.

The market sizes in OOTP aren't just market sizes, they more or less represent the amount of local media money teams receive. The national number of 40 million is the same for every team, so this number represents which teams get the big bucks, and which don't.

That is because all of the trust fund babies in South Oklahoma do not work. They just drink mimosas and go post tweets from Arlington Stadium.
