OOTP Crashes After Windows 10 Creator Update

If you are trying to play a game in 3D mode with with standalone version, but the game crashes every time or if the steam version won't even run at all since the Windows Creator update, the problem seems to be (at least for me) in a conflict between the update and the latest NVidia drivers.

NVidia will surely issue a fix before too long, but rolling the driver back from 381.65 to the previous one (378.92) fixed the issue for me.

I will try this, anything special I need to know so that I don't cause more problems?

No, I just downloaded the older drivers manually from NVidia and installed them and the crashes disappeared.

I'm running 381.65 and I've had no crashes, FWIW.

Hmm. Well, there has to be something different about our machines. I mean, I could not even run the steam version of OOTP. It crashed on startup every time. OOTP 16, 17 and 18. Rolled back the NVidia drivers and voila! Everything is hunky dory.
