More control for Commissioners of online leagues
I would like to see settings that allowed the Commissioner of an online league to have more control over his league's rules.
A couple of examples:
1) I'm in a league (fictional) that has restrictions on the types on contracts that can be offered: no team options, vesting option can only be in the final year, etc.
Sometimes GMs break these rules accidentally, because they're easy to forget, especially for people who are in multiple online leagues, each with their own set of rules. If the Commissioner had the ability to check a box somewhere (e.g., "Don't allow team options in contracts") to prevent the accidental violation of these rules, it would save him a lot of work, and save the members of the league a lot of frustration (sometimes the Commissioner has to void contracts).
2) I'm the Commissioner of a historical league and I strive for as much period authenticity as possible. One of the things I mandate is for GMs to try to manage their teams in a way consistent with the managerial strategies of the era (i.e., not like a modern manager would).
GMs sometimes fail to follow this mandate, sometimes out of forgetfulness and sometimes just out of a lack of knowledge of the historical era. I would like to be able to set limits for things like rotation size, bullpen usage, base stealing/sacrificing/hit and run strategies, etc. so that my GMs are limited to the options that would have been normal for the time.
Basically I'm looking for something that allows the Commissioner to make a choice on everything that is or isn't possible in his league.
