Regenerated schedules have too many extended breaks.

I'm hoping to come to a solution to this before I get started in my league.

I got rid of divisions and have two 15 team leagues with real players and teams and deleted all but three minor league affiliates per team, and have set it for balanced schedules with no interleague. As many times as I regenerate a new schedule, every team has multiple 4 day breaks during the season. Is this something that can be fixed without manually doing?

Sounds like you have an odd number of teams, thus teams have extra days off.

If the season has already started ,this is easily corrected. Go into the schedule editor then hit the evaluate tab. It will tell you how many games each team has scheduled and then add games until everyone has 162(or whatever numbered of games are supposed too be scheduled). Adding double headers would be the fasted way to correct the problem.

If you have an odd # of teams with no inter-league, this is the schedule you end up with. About your only option would be to make the average series length 2 games and even that would not totally remedy the situation, with an odd number of teams someone always has to be off for any given series, this is why you have such long breaks. So either add inter-league OR split the sub-leagues 16/14, or just live with the breaks as scheduled.

Seriously, you have leagues with an odd number of teams and no interleague and you wonder why there are gaps in the schedule?

Sure, that can be fixed. You just have to accept that occasionally at least one team will be have to play two different opponents at the same time. If you're OK with that fundamental departure from the laws of logic and physics, then OOTP can accommodate you. Barring that, you'll just have to learn to live with the gaps in the schedule.

My apologies for not seeing the obvious.
