Can you create a new player in MLB Manager 2017?

Ty Kelly once again is not on the Mets roster. I created him by editing a drafted player in MLB Manager 2016, but would like to create him for MLB M 2017.

Same for Pete Kozma who has made the Yankees 25 man roster

I can't speak for the company but given the fact they have to submit the game early to Apple I believe they usually do an update with final opening day rosters.
