Players Playing in both the World Cup and Spring Training Simultaneously

Not sure if this is a bug, but I noticed players playing in both the World Cup tournament and in Spring Training games at the same time. Was this intended to be like this (maybe to make it easier to manage your team during spring training)?

Players should not - if they are on loan to a tournament, they should not be part of their regular team's games. Was the player's team eliminated from the tournament, maybe? Once the team is eliminated their players will be returned to their regular team, so it's possible someone just came back early.

If not, and they end up playing for different squads on the same day, please upload a league file (http://support.ootpdevelopments.com/...p-developments) and we can investigate further what might be happening.

Before I go and upload my league file (which is a huge file), I did some research and found the following...

This is only happening to players on my team (the team that I control).
The player shows on my spring training roster.
And I remember a post on the OOTP boards that showed a message stating "you have a player returning from loan" (or something like that)... I never got this message.

Players on other AI controlled teams, seem to work properly. They played in the WCB when that was active, and then in their team's spring training games when the WCB was over.

P.S. - My league was imported from OOTP17, and I play in Commissioner Mode.

Also wanted to add that this is a fictional league.

Is anyone else seeing this? I know one other person (personally) that is seeing the same thing. I can't believe nobody else has seen this happen.

We did some changes I believe so that if there's space on the active roster at the moment, when the player returns from the tournament they'll just go directly back on the roster. So it's possible you won't always get that note popping up.

And when uploading the league files, we only need the .dat files, so that tends to cut down the upload size if you do wish to upload files

That would answer the note popping up thing. But the players definitely played in both the tournament and spring training at the same time.

I will upload my files.

OK. I uploaded my dat files from my latest saved game. The file is called "FSBL dat files for upload". It's a zipped file.

Thanks.

Here is a screenshot of one of my players. Notice in the game log he shows as playing 2 games on March 15th... one at STP (Spring training Game, and one vs ITA (WCB vs Team Italy).

I was about to post this. I have an annual World Tournament that takes place in July for a fictional league. My CF played for both Mexico and my team on the same day for six straight days.

Deion Sanders helicoptered between baseball and football. Seems to me that by 2157 they'd have instant teleportation. Don't see the issue.

You may already know this but...

I started a brand new fictional league to test this issue. Everything seems to be working perfectly. So I am suspecting that this issue is only happening to fictional leagues that were IMPORTED FROM OOTP17.

In the fictional test league, the players that are on loan to the Tournament are removed from the "Spring Training Roster" of my controlled team. This is not happening with my imported fictional league. In the imported league, the players remain on the spring training roster.

So, has this been resolved in the latest patch, or is there a setting/checkbox, or something I missed?

I would like to know before continuing with my league.

Thanks.
