Rehab question

When you have had a player off for months and he is ready to come back
do you send him to rehab or is he fit and ready to play?

Thank you in advance for your input..

Ever since they instituted rehab assignments, I use them every time. Personally I find my players to get re-injured a lot faster if I don't send them to rehab.

With that said, if you are in a tight race for the playoffs then I would start them right away.

I believe they have some "rust" so to speak, so like AirmenSmith said, send them to rehab for a bit (I never use the FULL time) so they can get back up to speed.. unless you are in a tight race late in the season, then I tend to play them right away.

New and 1st playthrough. I have had Danny Salazar injured DtD moderate with an unknown duration for several weeks. I found rehab assignment as an option so tried it. I haven't gone far since, but am wondering if the rehab will get him back healthy?

This one is tricky since everyone is still learning the DtD changes. What you should be doing is playing him a lot less. Maybe as a DH or off the bench. I believe that is the best way to make sure he doesn't get hurt more.

Now the tricky part is if you GM only, you pretty much have no control over how often he is played. What I end up doing is putting them on the DL for the length of the injury and the rehab.

Once we get an option to force rest or limit players on DtD, putting them on the DL is the only way to protect them fully.

What makes it even more tricky is he's a starting pitcher.
