Manually updating rosters

Just purchased OOTP ‘18 today and I’m trying to update the rosters in my standard game mode.

I have commissioner mode on. Is there a way to trade between two computer teams if it doesn’t involve the team I’m controlling? I’d like to get Stanton on the Yankees, Longoria on the Giants, etc but I can’t figure out a way to do so that doesn’t involve the Rockies (my team) in the two team deal lol. Thanks in advance.

There is an option to "Act as" a team when in commissioner mode. It is in the same drop down menu you use to select the active manager.

Awesome, thanks so much for the responses, guys!

Trying to download that roster file, I saved it where he said to but it's not showing up in the game. Is it because it's a rar file? I'm not very tech savvy lol.

Edit: So I think I figured out how to unzip it! I have it showing up in the quickstart part of the main screen. But I can't play it because I have to use install it from the add-on central and I can't figure out how to get it there.

So I'm not super tech savvy either and I've done everything, got the server onto the add-on list but I can't find the updated roster file on the list, is there some step I'm missing?

I added the link and got the server, but the roster file wasn't on the list that showed up as add-ons to download. Am I missing a step?

I didn’t have to use Add-ons central for this. You should just be able to unzip the file in your quickstart folder and then create a new game using the quickstart.
