My analogy of OOTP
OOTP is by far the gold standard for Baseball sim. Its amazing I love it and its worth every penny. I advise anyone on the fence that wants it to buy it. With that being said my analogy of this game is like the time the neighbor girl had her cousin staying for the summer and they invited you up to the tree house. You know what to do, its an easy to understand system and everything is fine. Then before you know it you're smoking, wearing leopard print undies and you have a pet parrot.
Just Like OOTP you create your league you get into it you realize its simple just point click have fun point over here click have fun but you always find yourself over doing it. For example my league playoffs began and I'm clicking and pointing all over the place. I have a real time going and I jump in to watch the games going to the 9th, and I'm having fun overload but all of the sudden - CRASH- shut down. You lose everything.
Soon you wake up and learn a lighting strike took down the tree house, you're chewing nicotine gum and the Parrot flew away.
All that time you spent is gone. So you get upset and then get over it. Go back in and try to carefully enjoy yourself. Cause if this ever happens again and you find yourself wanting more than clicking and pointing you better save every minute or you will lose it again. Save and Back-up, save and backup.
If I had one wish for the next OOTP is that I wish it could handle the times I get these crazy ideas in my head and want to play all positions and watch it all in 3d later and not shut down on me.
