Custom fonts for baseball cards CAN be done!
I made a discovery!
You realistically only have a handful of modern sans serif fonts to choose from when making card templates, because most of them don't render lowercase letters, accents etc. Putting new fonts in the game's default ootp/fonts folder doesn't have any effect, the game just ignores them. HOWEVER - if you copy a TrueType (.ttf) font file into the data/fonts directory, and then rename the copy to one of the default OOTP font names, the game will accept it quite happily! Also, any old uses of that font seem to be unaffected. For instance, while the game isn't running: - rename (for instance) l_ball.ttf to something else - copy a new TTF font into the folder - rename the new font as l_ball.ttf When you restart the game, OOTP 18 loads all the fonts at startup, and any new cards, auto generated logos etc. you render from then on will use the new font instead of the default one, without affecting anything already previously made with the default one. I was pleased to discover this and can't see it's been mentioned anywhere else, so I thought I'd sign up and post it. Apologies if it's already well-known, but it made me happy!
