Pick Off??

I have had 4 runners picked off first in a three game series.

Why dont I as a human manager have the ability to pick people off first?

Also this should be looked at since I each time I was not stealing or doing a hit and run. Also 2 times the runner on first had an E speed, why would this person be leading off far enough to be picked off?

"Hold Runner" will occasionally pick off a runner. The pbp, thankfully, doesn't let you know every time the pitcher throws over and fails.
