Coaching abilities

If I want to hire an assistant coach for offense, what are the primary attributes to focus on?
Coaching forwards & offensive skills?

And for the primary assistant coach?
All the 4 "coaching" attributes? (goalies, def, off, prospects)

I am assuming if I want a goalies coach you ignore all but coaching goalies but does that apply to def coach and off coach?

Thanks

Correct on all counts, except the assistant listed at the top isn't really a "primary" assistant, in that he doesn't perform any extra roles (yet, that's something that'll get expanded on.) And yes, you can ignore the other coaching ratings, just as you would for a goalie coach (his other ratings, listed under miscellaneous on the coaching profile, may have an effect, though.)

Quick followup, is there any benefit to adding an asst coach who may be great in OFF skills and not much else?
Does that help players develop faster while they ignore he's lousy at all other things?
It does not hurt other areas of coaching right?
I was just wondering if its almost an average score of all coaches in all areas which dictate development and or coaching...

Depends on the team to a degree - if you have a lot of young players and he's rated poorly at dealing with those, it's going to drag his performance down. But assuming that's OK, and he's just bad at the non-offensive categories, he'll be fine, he just won't contribute much to the development of skills he's bad at, which will be more of a problem if you have a small staff.
