Customize Drop Downs
I'm creating a custom view, but when I do, the drop downs that appear to the right of the View drop down change. Is there a way to specify which drop downs appear with your custom view? Thanks.

I was not sure how to interpret your question, so I answer in two ways.
Certain drop down menus appear according to whether the View contains ratings or stats. The built-in ratings view cause the Scouting menu to appear while the built-in stats views produce Scope and Split menus. When customizing View, if you include a stats category with a View that was ratings only, Scope and Split will appear. Likewise, if you include a ratings category with a View that was stats only, Scouting will appear. Below are some before-and-after examples. Now, the other way that I interpreted your question was whether customizing View made the settings in those other drop-down menus change. The answer, I believe, is no. If you have a Filter applied, the filter is "sticky" in that it will stay the same when changing the View and will still be in effect the next time you visit the screen. As for Position and the other menus, they appear to go back to default.

The first explanation helps. So, it looks like depending on what items you put in your custom view, the drop downs that appear along side it may change automatically. I guess my question was can the view and the dropdowns be customized separately or are the dropdowns that appear always tied to what is contained in the view.
I'm really trying to get a view similar to Batting Stats 1, that also includes fielding ratings, but when I do the "Double Split" dropdown goes away, replaced by "Scouting". Is there a way to keep my custom view and also get "Double Split" back? |

Try adding a Stat instead of just ratings.

Yes, I think he's got that. What he's asking now is can he control such things as having Double Split stay on the screen when he introduces a ratings category. It works just as he says, shown below.
Interesting questions. There does not appear to be any way to affect what happens; it goes by what is selected in View. The arrangement of drop-down menus seems to be automatic and based on programming routines or concern for fitting menus to screen size. On wide screen displays, this may not be a concern but the developers need to provide for smaller screen resolutions.

I've posted a request for the next version to be able to customize which drop downs appear with a custom view.
