man i'd hate to be in AL East if the Yankees had that rotation. What is the Yankees record so far in your season? It's gotta be pretty good with that rotation. Did they trade for those guys or sign them?

Martinez and Lowe were signed as free agents (for the record, Garciaparra is also a Yankee, signed as a free agent as well), Wood was acquired in a trade from the Cubs for Henri Stanley (turned out a fairly decent LF for the Cubs) and Thomas Sak (2004 second-rounder by the Yankees, destined for a life in the minors)

BTW, the Yankees are, at this point, 22-14, and leading the AL East by four games...keep in mind that I realigned and got rid of the Central Divisions in both leagues (Detroit and Cleveland in the AL East, KC, Minnesota, and the White Sox in the AL West, and Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and the Cubs in the NL East, and Milwaukee, Houston, and St. Louis in the NL West)

As of the midseason amateur draft, the Yankees are now a game behind their unofficial farm system in the AL East (sorry Red Sox fans, had to say that) the Yankee ERA, by the way, is fourth in the AL and 8th overall)

I never said I played any role in the league except being commissioner of the all-computer league...in fact, my only role is as observe/commissioner
BTW, as of July 1, the Yankees are three up on the Red Sox, and six up on the Detroit Tigers...in other divisions the Athletics are 13 up on the Mariners (no typo in either case) at 58-22 (again, no typo for the A's record)...in the NL East, Pittsburgh is 3 up on the Cubs in a tight race where last place Montreal is only 8 games back, and in the West, the Brewers are two up on defending WS champs Houston, 5 up on the D-Backs, and six up on the Dodgers |
