What's the best 162-game record you've seen in one of your leagues?
In my 2031 season, this happened:
![]() Everything seemed to go right for the Nationals this season, as the team posted a 2.62 ERA and managed a .782 OPS while beating up on the weak sisters in their division (along with, well, almost everyone else). Have you ever had a team that did better than this 127-35 mark? |

Update: The Nationals won the World Series as well as Reliever of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP awards. Shocker.

Just curious, is Washington AI or human controlled? Even more impressive (IMO) if AI controlled.

The best I have seen are the Reds at 116 and 46. AI controlled and did not win the World Series.

Human-controlled. Turns out investing in a lights-out pitching staff and stacking your lineup with high-OBP hitters with speed and then double-stealing at every opportunity pays dividends in OOTP.

129-33
The p****r of it all...this was an AI team. My poor SA Missions finished 86-76 that year.

The weakness of the "4 divisions/no wild cards" setup is that you get teams clinching in August and having nothing to play for except home field. |

First off, it's spelled "Stengel". Second, I'm interested in finding out when the Reds clinched.
Stengle vs. Stengel. I'm well on my way to recovery. The Reds did in fact clinch towards the end of August.
