Been playing MLBM 2015 ...
When I purchase MLBM 2016 do my seasons switch over to it or am I going to be buying seasons again?

If you mean "can I start a new 2016 game starting in a season that I purchased in the 2015 game", the answer is yes, they do get transferred over but not automatically. You have to follow instructions that the company will provide you.
