Best version ever!

Every day I look at the forum list, and the first post that I see is in this forum entitled "How do I get a refund?" I am getting tired of that, so I will make this post and it will show first. Let's keep it bumped.

Totally agree. It's been annoying me too.

some issues are still waiting for a final stable version .... but man, 17 does have some great features and it's great. i've enjoyed this version the most so far, and been around since 13 .... only play historical (sort morphing into fictional historical) sims, so most issues have been avoided ... they'll work the others out. Markus & team is dedicated and gifted. Great game!

There's no question that Markus and his entire company are dedicated to customer support. There are few (if any) games where the player base gets more personal attention from the developer.

The forum moderators, on the other hand, apparently don't agree with my attempt to get some positive publicity for the game at the top of the forum list. Post moved.

This version is awesome! I usually play fictional, but have been playing historical for now, and having a blast. I took over the Colt 45's in late 1961, did the expansion draft and regular draft, which back then was held in December, and then started playing in 62. One thing I did notice though, was that Jimmy Wynn for example, who I drafted and after one season had in AAA. But then when I went into the new year, he was gone? I noticed he had signed with the White Sox. I'm wondering if this is because there was no official draft as we know it, until 1965. I think they held a two round draft sometime before that, but found this strange. In fact, a few of my draft choices either went to another team, or just dropped out of my system, and they were not with any team.

Die hard Phils fan, and my first game ever at Connie Mack Stadium was the Phils against Houston in 1964.

Needs to be stable first. I get nervous every time a new patch is released because I'm afraid something is going to get messed up. I don't mean that to sound negative. Just saying. I completely understand how crazy complicated a game like this must be to code.

Once it is stable though and each mode is fully playable with no bugs and working as intended...yes, it will be the best version ever.

Hands Down ....no comparison to any baseball sim. I'm sure all sport fans have favorites, but a baseball fan can't say this is not the best and be serious. OOTP will never be error or bug free but it'll be as close to it than any game made.

The most amazing thing about OOTP is the fact it gets better every year. I have 11 through 17 installed. If you want to lose a half a day, boot up each version in chronological order, and spend a little while looking at the features in each game. The difference is incredible. I don't buy OOTP every year just to support Markus. I buy it every year because each new version is the best version ever. That is an incredible accomplishment.

This game is amazing in immeasurable ways because of the almost infinite number of ways you can set up to play. Each individual can tailor OOTP to play they way they want to play with a little time and patience. After only being with this for under a year I throughly enjoy myself daily.
That is without mentioning the help and ideas I get from these forums.

Only thing I am unhappy about is I am waiting for my second steam code that I should have when I pre ordered two copies. :P And yes I have been through the proper channels. They are busy I understand!

I want my money back! LOL

This has been amazing version, little bug here and there, but still good!

and even with the complexity behind the scenes, they still made it accessible enough that anyone willing to put in a little bit of effort can edit the files and add in their own fictional worlds.
