Inflated defensive stats/ WAR for 2B
Just started a new season in a historic league, and all of the defensive stats for second basemen throughout the league are heavily inflated (and thus skewing the WAR calculations). The top twenty players in the league by Zone Rating are second basemen, and several of them are at +10 runs just four games into the year, with Johnny Evers at +17 runs through 4 games -- the equivalent of more than four runs per game. This seems... excessive.
I don't think I have downloaded the most recent update, but I haven't seen any indication that it addressed this issue. Below is the sorted list of all players leaguewide based on Zone Rating. |

I would suggest to keep playing out and see if it settles. The way we calculate it it might be possible to have our values for a position get out of sync temporarily, and in a few games I would expect that it would settle back to normal values.

Looks like it stabilized just a couple days later. Thanks.
