Tom Sharkey vs Joe Goddard

On February 13, 1900 Tom Sharkey stopped Joe Goddard on a technical knockout in 4 rounds. Today I matched them and Sharkey stopped Goddard in 4 rounds on a TKO. Goddard didn't let his hands go enough in the first two rounds and Sharkey was leading in the third when Goddard caught him coming in with a straight right that nearly put him out. Sharkey rushed Goddard in round four and buried him in leather landing several left hooks to the body and head putting him down for a short count. When he staggered up Sharkey was all over him like ugly on an ape and the ref had to step in to stop it.

Great fight. I had no idea who would win going in.
