My fictional league always starts on March 28th.....

No matter what I do, I've set up the league to start on Janaury 15 1979 and after I'm complete with the settings and start things up I'm always 3 days before the season. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

your schedule is hard coded to start on 3-28 so you need to check off the option that says "use schedule start date" or something to that effect. Basically you need to to tell OOTP to use the start date on the schedule option not the one that is found in the schedule file.

Assuming you're referring to the game start date and not the season start date, there's an easy workaround.

Start the league in 1949 or whatnot, sim to 15 January 1979, and delete all history. If you're starting with an inaugural fantasy draft, hit the "release all players" button BEFORE you delete history.
