Restoring Backups

Is anyone else having a problem doing this since the new patch? I did do an uninstall/reinstall and tried it on files that I had restored before.

Nothing should have changed in restoring backups. What error is it giving you?

I actually made and restored from a backup yesterday. What I noticed is that steps can take a very long time (at least with my 70 season save) and the game may not immediately react to, for instance, alt+tab or bringing up the task manager, and Windows will probably tell you it's not responding and ask you if you want to close the program.

Still worked in the end for me, though!

I restored a league just now in 3-4 minutes.

You know, backups have never worked for me in Linux.

My solution is just to make my league directory a git repo. I have a couple ideas on WHY, but I never really investigated the matter. It's just one of those things I check to see if it works, then it doesn't and go back to how I normally backup my league.

Maybe one of these days I'll throw it though the debugger and see exactly what's wrong with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have had restore or backups take 11 to 14 hours and much of it is probably due to the almanac. That's what I have noticed it hinders the speed of things.
