Hitting streaks to break all hitting streaks?

After seeing the Joe DiMaggio thread I wanted to show this guy off and didnt want him buried in the DiMaggio thread, so here is Jesús Deleón's streak:

Here's his ratings as you can see he fits Matt Arnold's theroy of acomplishing this by having a super high contact with super high avoid K:

Here his batting history if anyone is interested:

Interestingly enough I had no idea this guy existed until he got up to 30 games since I play as the Tigers, I've never played against him or if I have in very small sample sizes. He's also one of the only true 5 tool players I've ever seen, he has speed, an arm, contact, power, and he's a respectable fielder.

Is this possibly the highest hitting streak ever?

I'm amazed that this WAR is so low, given his awesome hitting stats. Just goes to show that OF Range is the key stat for translating tools into defensive effectiveness, regardless of what the RF positional rating would have you believe.

His WAR would probably be higher if he played more - I wonder why has he only played 100+ games twice in his career. His injury history is "wrecked," so either he can't stay off the DL or he's got crazy extreme splits. Maybe both.

based on the project stat line looks like this league plays 152 games. Though still...playing less than 100 games so often is strange. Injury prone? strict platoon?

I'll post some clarification on this, my league plays a standard 162 games in a season, my only theory of why he plays so little is because he was scouted he was scouted as "fragile" so eventually he got the wrecked way faster and that's why he hasn't played more than 100 games
