Leo_The_Lip All Star Starter Join Date: Nov 2009 Posts: 1,801	Injuries -- calcium deposits Back in the 1950's and 1960's, pitchers came to Spring Training to throw so they could break up the calcium deposits in their arm. I'm not sure when this got a new name--'lumbago' similarly went away--however it is a nifty thing for historical games. As is "lumbago".
